By downloading, installing, or using Word for Today ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. About the App

Word for Today is a daily Bible verse and reflection app available on iOS and Android. It provides a curated daily Bible verse (World English Bible translation), reflection prompts, a verse exploration feed, streak tracking, achievements, and home screen widgets. The app is available in English, Croatian, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, and Arabic.

3. Free & Premium Features

Word for Today is free to download and use. A premium subscription unlocks additional features including:

Unlimited verse feed exploration (free tier is limited to 10 verses per day)
Full reflection history (free tier shows the last 7 days)
Custom reminder times (free tier offers morning, afternoon, and evening presets)
Most Liked verses section
Data export and import

Subscription details

Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis
A 7-day free trial may be offered to new subscribers
Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions)
No refund is provided for the unused portion of a subscription period, unless required by applicable law

4. Content & Intellectual Property

Bible verses in the app are from the World English Bible (WEB) translation, which is in the public domain. All other app content — including UI design, graphics, reflection questions, and copy — is the intellectual property of Word for Today and may not be reproduced without permission.

Content you create within the app (personal reflections and notes) belongs to you. It is stored only on your device and is never accessed by us.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Word for Today only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Attempt to circumvent subscription or feature restrictions
Use automated tools to interact with the app

6. Notifications

The app may request permission to send you local notifications as daily verse reminders. These are entirely optional. You can enable or disable them at any time in the app settings or your device settings.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Word for Today is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or free of viruses. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for a subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in accordance with applicable local laws.
